Facebook or Twitter?
This is one of the better articles I’ve seen written about the two social networking giants. Most who use Twitter already understand Facebook, but there is a large number of Facebook users who don’t understand Twitter. I also know there are a large number of Twitter users who have Facebook accounts, but don’t do much with them and therefore are missing out on its potential.
In this modern era of communication where the next generation is beginning to already abandon email in favor of tools like Facebook, Twitter and texting, it is important for those that want to be able to communicate with them to understand these methods. Beyond just plain texting, the most forward thinking sites have mobile versions of their site or apps that can run directly on the mobile device itself.
I don’t think it is an either or when it comes to Twitter vs Facebook, but rather and / both. They each have unique purposes as described in the article. Effective communications today are about meeting people where they are and in the format they want, whether that is traditional voice, mail, email, text, or newer social media such as Twitter or Facebook. If you haven’t tried either, now is the time to start.
If you are one of the Facebook users who don’t understand this Twitter thing, check out the article to at least gain an understanding.
